THE glASS CASTLE
As I suspected the parents were completely worthless. They thought they were helping their children by allowing them to explore and live in poverty, with little to nothing to eat. Although it allows most of them to become extremely intelligent and able to live on their own, it turned their kids against them and made them question their decisions. Eventually Jeanette and Lori leave symbolizing that they want some sort of stability, whether it be a roof over their head or food to eat. They were tired of being around people who cant hold jobs and fend for their children. I dont blame them for doing this because they have been constantly moving around the U.S. and their father has become scum the more and more he starts to drink and smoke, no wonder he couldnt keep a job. I wouldnt want someone working for me who handling their alcohol. But becasue of how the kids grew up, Maureen eventually stabs her mom and is sent to mental hospital. This is not the type of life I would want to live.

The Glass Castle
This book is an interesting book, it is basically the opposite of my life. Im not a huge outdoors person so I would not be able to live with there family at all. I hate feeling gross so the showering thing would absolutely kill me. I would hate to constantly move and not knowing whats going to happen next. Both of her parents are completely worthless to some extent, her dads an alcoholic, and her mom paints. Her parents can barely fend for them at all, but get them by with the hope that they are going to strike it rich. This will never happen, because they are constantly moving and her dad never puts in enough time or money to make things happen. Her dad does an awful lot of talking and building himself up by telling them all these stories. He makes it out to seem like he is a super hero, but deep down inside alot of the kids are starting to lose hope in him. His drinking is going to far and thats the only thing he cares about. Booze is consuming his life, however I think that they have raised their kids good enough to the point where they will be successful on their own, especially jeanette. She is very equal on her view of all people, and is very accepting of what happens. She has alot of intelligence, probably smarter than i am now, and she just started middle school. The kids are good in an intelligence stand point, but they dont really know what a normal life is, or experience things that most kids do.

The End of Elephants
Wow, what a great book. I was really shocked to find that I was as into the book as I was. The book really turned out slow, and I thought about putting it back because I thought it would be like that the whole time. However, as Jacob started to look more and more into his flashbacks, the book picked up enormously. I ended up reading like 7 chapters in a day. But at the point where it seemed like Jacob and August had a frenzy over Marlena, I was genuinely afraid of what might happen to Jacob. August was crazy and I knew he had to be out of the question somehow, I just did not know how it would happen. But Jacob got his wish, even if it was not in the way he intended. August was stomped by an Elephant. And this ended the Benzini Brothers Circus. Jacob went back to school and took his exams to support his to be wife Marlena. Marlena had a baby in the chamber, and when Jacob finally does find another job, the both of them are up and running with another circus, where they stayed until their kid. I just think that it would be awesome to live on a circus because you would travel to alot of places and see everything, while being around things that most people get to only see once in their life. I am very jealous because I someday would like to do my own bit of exploring when i get married and just go around the world and experience everything, and breathe it all in. I think it would be remarkable, and amazing.

Elephants.....
So I recently acquired this book, and started to read it. Its called "Water for Elephants", and the title sounds rather interesting. Well in this interesting book that I have found myself reading for the past week or so, I have slowly started to grow fond of it because its just an obscure book. It starts off with a guy named Jacob, 93, who has been put in a retirement home, and does not like the way things are run around there. Jacob is not a very big fan of the food where he lives, and I cant blame him. Jacob also gets erked by someone who claims they carried water for elephants. This thought enrages Jacob and does accuses the man of lying. Although Jacob is sent back to his room for being a grump, the book starts to get interesting and jumps back into time where he was in fact working for a circus. I like reading his flash backs because it tells about the living conditions, and what life is like.Among those it also tells how a circus was ran, and believe me i would not want anything to do with it. I personally am not a fan of circuses, and they seem like a giant hoax. But never the less it is interesting to see Jacob work his way up through the ranks, and become an important necessity. I wish life was that easy.

H-Games Part Tres
The Hunger Games are as about as fascinating as watching paint dry. Just Kidding this book was incredible. Much has changed since my last post, like a new rule that people from the same district can win together where only one overall could win before. On hearing this news I would do what Katniss ends up doing. She runs around trying to find her fellow district twelve tribute. I would be so nervous looking for my other teammate, but once found they would be a huge necessity and being a team would be so beneficial. Katniss ends up finding Peeta who is severely injured, and has to take much time to help him recover. This time could be used for other things, but they end up spending several days in a cave, that seem much secluded from the games. I think it would be nice to just feel away from the game because it allows your mind to be at ease and relax. Relaxing would be a extremely beneficial because it would allow you to heal both physically but mentally at well. Being in the games nonstop would turn you into an animal. But eventually Peeta has recovered and everyone else passes off except a career tribute from district one. His name is Cato, and he seems as about as ferocious as his name sounds. I wouldnt want to mess with him....just saying....But anyways, there is a dual to get to the Cornucopia because all three tributes are being chased by special mutations made by the sick minded at the capital. All three tributes are on top of the cornucopia and Cato, who is covered in some sort of armor, has Peeta in a head lock. At this point Katniss is about 10 feet away from the both of them, and if she kills Cato, then Peeta will more than likely fall down below where the blood thirsty mutations are. But thanks to a quick move by Peeta Katniss does not end up killing the both of them, what happens is Cato exposes his hand, Katniss sends an arrow into, and Peeta pushes him into the mutations. Its absolutely crazy how things can change in a moments time, but thats what happened. Peeta saved his own life and Katniss capitalized. Cato ends up dying a few days later from a arrow to the head from Katniss to end his suffering. After this, the victors are taken back to the capital, where they are cleaned up, well fed and interviewed a numerous amount of times. I would not want to interview at all, think about is this way, you just spent a few weeks battling with other people around your age. That has to be something that you will never forget as long as you shall live, and after all that you are sent to so many interviews to experience your worst nightmare over, and over again. I would be going insane.

H-Games Part Dos
Thus far in The Hunger Games much has happened! First off the Games have officially begun, and the death toll has already mounted. Katniss who this story is following through out has been listening to her coaches. There directions were to get supplies and get as far away from the cornucopia as possible! Typically when the games begin the cornucopia is a blood bath, with everyone running there to grab weapons/ supplies. In the first day alone there were 11 deaths, leaving only 13 people. After the first day though things slow down. Katniss who has run away from the competition all together, has been camping in trees at night, and traveling during the day to find water. If I was in her shoes, I would be freaking out! I have never had an experience where people have been trying to kill me, so making it 23 would be quite overwhelming. If I was in the Hunger Games I probably would not stand a chance because I personally am not much of a fan of nature, but barely know how to cook and do things around the house, so living in the wilderness would be out of the question! But after few days have passed Katniss has a few encounters against her other tributes, and soon finds out that she is the one everyone is looking for. The career tributes have teamed up and formed an alliance seeking out the weak tributes. Katniss is eventually spotted, and climbs up a tree to shield herself. None of the tributes climb up the tree to the extent that she has and they eventually give up all together, and wait for her to come down. Right now I would be thinking about giving up because I would be so scared and nervous I would practically just shut down. In the instant I was being chased I would not want to be there anymore and would probably be try to join sides. I do not do very well on my own! But Katniss eventually pulls a fast one on the team below her by sending poisonous wasps down below, and ends up killing two of them. This makes them disperse and Katniss comes down to claim her weapon of choice. The Bow and Arrow. I think that the bow and arrow may be one of the best weapons available in the game, because it is a long distance weapon, and with precision can be very effective. It is a weapon that I probably would have tried to master, because it gives you a great upper hand. However, most weapons that can be effective from a long range would all be very useful. Katniss escapes the tributes with help from Rue, who is like her but smaller and quicker. They form an alliance and start to go on the offensive. Going on the offensive would be crazy, both good and bad. Good because you would have so much adrenaline and ready to fight back, but your nerves could get the best of you. I would be nervous and not at ease coming up with a plan, because if things do not go as according to plan, or something backfires, your out of the game.

H-Games Part Uno
I am reading The Hunger Games, a book that takes place in the future. In the book thus far, the tributes have been selected and have been shipped out to the Capitol. The Capitol sounds like a really elegant place with all sorts of bight colors, something that seems really appealing to anyone. I can just imagine being overwhelmed with all the colors that would appear before me. It would be one of those jaw dropping moments. But once they reach the Capitol they get ready for the opening night ceremony where the tributes ride out on chariots dressed in attire from their district. I think that this would be a very interesting sight to see because you would see all of the culture throughout Panem, and I just think think it would be interesting as to how they present the costumes. For district 12, they presented there selves in a very unique way where both boy and girl have black tunics on accompanied by capes that will be covered by artificial flames. This would be one of those things that would catch my attention first without a doubt, the glow alone would make them stick out like a sore thumb. Once the ceremony is over, they then get ready for the training secession's that will help them prepare for The Hunger Games. In my own opinion going to the training secession, would probably make me cry. I would cry because everyone that you are meeting/ seeing/ making eye contact with will be trying to kill in a matter of days. So basically it would probably be a very awkward get together, especially if you are friends. I could not imagine being selected with a girl that i considered my best friend, just the thought of hurting anyone bothers me greatly, so killing would make me go overboard. The book is getting very interesting with the big day coming up, and I am eager to see what happens!
