The End of Elephants

Wow, what a great book. I was really shocked to find that I was as into the book as I was. The book really turned out slow, and I thought about putting it back because I thought it would be like that the whole time. However, as Jacob started to look more and more into his flashbacks, the book picked up enormously. I ended up reading like 7 chapters in a day. But at the point where it seemed like Jacob and August had a frenzy over Marlena, I was genuinely afraid of what might happen to Jacob. August was crazy and I knew he had to be out of the question somehow, I just did not know how it would happen. But Jacob got his wish, even if it was not in the way he intended. August was stomped by an Elephant. And this ended the Benzini Brothers Circus. Jacob went back to school and took his exams to support his to be wife Marlena. Marlena had a baby in the chamber, and when Jacob finally does find another job, the both of them are up and running with another circus, where they stayed until their kid. I just think that it would be awesome to live on a circus because you would travel to alot of places and see everything, while being around things that most people get to only see once in their life. I am very jealous because I someday would like to do my own bit of exploring when i get married and just go around the world and experience everything, and breathe it all in. I think it would be remarkable, and amazing.

Elephants.....

So I recently acquired this book, and started to read it. Its called "Water for Elephants", and the title sounds rather interesting. Well in this interesting book that I have found myself reading for the past week or so, I have slowly started to grow fond of it because its just an obscure book. It starts off with a guy named Jacob,  93, who has been put in a retirement home, and does not like the way things are run around there. Jacob is not a very big fan of the food where he lives, and I cant blame him. Jacob also gets erked by someone who claims they carried water for elephants. This thought enrages Jacob and does accuses the man of lying. Although Jacob is sent back to his room for being a grump, the book starts to get interesting and jumps back into time where he was in fact working for a circus. I like reading his flash backs because it tells about the living conditions, and what life is like.Among those it also tells how a circus was ran, and believe me i would not want anything to do with it. I personally am not a fan of circuses, and they seem like a giant hoax. But never the less it is interesting to see Jacob work his way up through the ranks, and become an important necessity. I wish life was that easy.
